Comfort

Step into the mystique of 11th century Jaisalmer as each of our rooms is fully furnished with traditional colors, textiles, and furnishings, but we value your comfort equally so.

All of our rooms come equipped with tea and coffee, mini fridge, hairdryer, flat screen TV, en-suite bathroom and a sitting area. No expense was spared in creating an inviting and homely atmosphere for you to relax in each of our rooms. We want you to be comfortable when you return from exploring the vast expanse of the desert.

The orthopedic mattresses are changed every couple of years to ensure all our guests have a good night sleep. With crisp clean sheets available for every guest each night and fresh tea and coffee waiting for you in the morning, your comfort is our priority. Our Team

Hotel Fifu, established in 1999 by Mr. Om Prakash Kewaliya (known by his friends as Fifu), is operated today by Fifu, his family, and a group of dedicated staff.

Their love for each other and a collective dedication to its success is, in part, what makes Hotel Fifu such a success. The hotel is built in the traditional Haveli style and decorated with traditional artifacts from the region. Tucked in a quiet street, outside the city center but still within walking distance of the Fort, Hotel Fifu offers a serene atmosphere in a luxurious setting. Perhaps our most popular feature is the breathtaking view of Jaisalmer Fort from our own terrace and restaurant.

Om Prakash – Fifu

If you spend some time chatting with Fifu it won’t take long to realize how much he loves Jaisalmer and the Thar Desert. By his own admission this is the place where he was born, grew up and where he will happily be for the rest of his life. He graduated in economics and accounting but his passion for hospitality coupled with his love for Jaisalmer and the desert drove him headfirst into the tourism industry, where he has been successfully working for over 20 years. With each new guest his perception of the world expands.

Fifu loves photography, speaks 5 languages fluently (Hindi, English, German, Spanish and French) and has recently found a new passion in organic farming. His attention to detail and high standards are reflected in every nook and cranny of the Fifu Hotel in Jaisalmer.

Antriksha

Antriksha, Fifu’s nephew, also graduated in economics and accounting from the prestigious language school Alliance Francaise d’Ahmedabad, where he studied French.

He speaks fluent French, English and Hindi. In his free time, Antriksha enjoys taking guests around the city as well.

Anirudh

Anirudh, Fifu’s son, graduated with a degree in Commerce from the Institute Hispanic in Delhi. He speaks fluent Hindi, English and Spanish. Nowadays he is mainly responsible for Fifu’s Restaurant.

He is yet another fun part of the multi-lingual and multi-talented team at Fifu Hotel in Jaisalmer.

Bhoma Ram Choudhary

Bhoma Ram has been working with us for over ten years. He has always shown initiative and proved time and time again his willingness to learn and grow within the team. He learns something new from every guest.

Today he is responsible for the day-to-day management of the hotel.

Bhojraj ‘Soda’ Singh

Soda was born and grew up in a small nearby village in the desert.

The Thar desert has been his home for his entire life and his knowledge of its terrain is extensive. For this reason, he is the logistical and safety coordinator for all of our desert safaris.
